פסטיבל הג’אז הראשון בפרדס חנה־כרכור הוא יוזמה של עמותת דרך הג’אז, הפועלת לקידום תרבות הג’אז בישראל באמצעות קהילה, מצוינות אמנותית וחינוך. הסיפור התחיל לפני כמה שנים, כאשר אלון ועדי שטרן עברו עם שני בניהם להתגורר בפרדס חנה־כרכור. זמן קצר לאחר מכן נחשפו לפסטיבל “דרך הנדיב”, פתחו את ביתם לאירוח מופעי ג’אז ובהמשך הצטרפו לצוות התכנון וההפקה של הפסטיבל. המפגש עם הקהל הוכיח להם שבאזור קיימת קהילה של תושבות ותושבים הצמאה למוסיקה חיה ואיכותית. מפיקי הפסטיבל ביקשו ממני לתעד את הפסטיבל.
